The Story of Sidestreet
The Capozzi family’s journey started from the village of Santa Croce del Sannio in the Campania region of Italy where our Grandfather Carmine Capozzi migrated through the Port of Naples to America. Years later, our family settled in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, before relocating to Tryon in the early 1980s. Our dad, “Big Bob,” was a brick mason by trade but had a cook’s heart. Sunday mornings were filled with Polka music, the aroma of his simmering spaghetti sauce, and him whistling as he stirred. In an Italian Family, food and love are one and the same, and you could always taste his love in every bite. For us, it has always been been about family, comfort food, and sharing both with you.
